About the author (2009)

Hi. My name is Reba and I am a coach, but probably not the kind of coach you are thinking of right now. I rarely wear a whistle around my neck and I don’t have a closet full of warm up suits.
Although I did spend six years coaching women’s basketball and volleyball at the college level, today my passion is guiding women to finding purpose and fulfillment in their lives.
Using basic principles I learned from coaching and teaching, over 20 years in counseling, and the Word of God, I help women discover where they are, where they need to be, and how to get there.
I am a speaker. I spend most of my weeks traveling around the world sharing with women’s groups, churches, colleges and universities, high schools, prisons and more.

My goal is to help women catch a glimpse of the life they could be living. I want to:
inspire women to start the hard work of changing their lives and fulfilling their purpose;
share insightful, relevant content with women that will help them make these changes and
connect them to Jesus Christ who is the only one who has the power for lasting change.

I am a firm believer in faith, hope, and love.
I am a writer. I love a great story. My writing started with a book for mothers, Battle Ready Moms, Raising Battle Ready Kids which won the 2010 Christian Choice Book Award for best book in parenting category. From there, I wrote two Bible studies: Made for Fellowship andReturn to Me. I also co-authored a teen devotional, In Sync with Proverbs, with Lisa Potter.
