Between Poetry and PaintingThe work presented in this exhibition crosses the frontier between two quite clearly defined fields of creative activity - poetry and painting. There may be no single accurate definition of this hybrid form of expression - one thing is quite clear, nevertheless - visual poetry in its various forms constitutes the first international poetry movement. This type of poetry serves to examine what happens to language through a certain type of visual presentation, and what becomes of an abstract image simultaneously endowed with a literary meaning.--P. 9. |
