About the author (1997)

Byron Stay is the associate dean of Mount St. Mary's College in Emmitsburg, Maryland. He has taught courses in descriptive and narrative writing, argumentative writing, and public speaking. His books, Censorship: Opposing Viewpoints and A Guide to Argumentative Writing, reflect his academic pursuits. Byron Stay was formerly the chair of the rhetoric and writing department at Mount St. Mary's College.
