Chapters in Part III, Speaking before Parent Groups, are: (9) Scheduled Parent Meetings; (10) Working with Parents on More Difficult Issues; (11) Presenting a Persuasive Line of Reasoning; (12) Asking for Support; (13) If You Need to Speak on a Moment's Notice; and (14) How to Field Questions from Your Audience. Chapters in Part IV, Speaking before Parent-Teacher-Student Association Groups, are: (15) Creating a Speech to Inform; and (16) Presenting Yourself and Your Speech. Chapters in Part V, Speaking before Collegial Groups, are: (17) Beyond Words--How to Use Visual and Other Aids; and (18) Leading a Staff or Inservice Meeting. Chapters in Part VI, Speaking before Community Groups, are: (19) Making Decisions about Your Audience and Your Speaking Environment; (20) Sharing Yourself with the Children; and (21) How to Lead and Participate in a Discussion Group. Chapters in Part VII, When All Else Fails, are: (22) Speaking When You Really Cannot Say Anything; and (23) Using Appropriate Grammar. The chapter in Part VIII, Example Speeches and Additional Supports, is (24) Three Sample Speeches. Attached are an audience evaluation sheet and the "hub and web" worksheet.
