Etched In Bone

David Grace, Aug 31, 2009 - Fiction
After being acquitted of eight grisly murders by reason of insanity, Hanford Wells was committed to the Hickory Hollow Forensic Psychiatric Center, from which he soon escaped. When dental records proved that the battered body discovered in the woods was that of his missing patient, forensic psychiatrist, Llewellyn Price, breathed a sigh of relief. Now, a year later, a girl "s skeleton is discovered near Wells " home town and carved into her skull are a line of symbols strikingly similar to those Wells doodled before his escape. Dr. Price has been asked to help the authorities profile the killer, a job he accepts amidst growing fears that Hanford Wells may not be dead after all, and, if he "s not, Price knows that this girl was not the madman "s first victim and that she certainly will not be his last.

About the author (2009)

I used to write under the name "David Alexander" but there were several other writers using that name and publishers and agents confused me with them, so I now use the pen name, "David Grace." My first published novel was "The Chocolate Spy" followed by "Fane" then "My Real Name Is Lisa" then "The Eyes Of The Blind.I have re-titled Fane as "The Accidental Magician"; re-titled My Real Name Is Lisa as "Stolen Angel" and re-titled The Eyes Of The Blind as "True Faith." All available here at Smashwords. My favorite novels (of the ones that I wrote) are A Death In Beverly Hills, True Faith, Easy Target, Stolen Angel and Fever Dreams more or less in that order but the order changes from day to day. I think the best SF stories that I have written are the Tramp stories contained in SF Stories Volume 1.I have had several Sci Fi stories published in Analog Magazine and two crime stores published in Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine. I am a long-time member of the Science Fiction Writers of America. The legendary SF author (and friend) Jack Vance named a planet after me in "The Face" and named a lawgiver after me in "Night Lamp."I shared a story credit (with two others) for the Outer Limits episode "Joy Ride" which starred Cliff Robertson.I am currently working on an action-adventure-thriller novel. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area.I often write screenplays based on my books as well as stand-alone screenplays.
