About the author (2004)

Born 1934 in Berlin, the author is a qualified engineer and gemologist. He served as a German diplomat for 37 years mostly in Asian countries. Now retired, he lives in Bangkok and devotes his time to research and teaching of Feng Shui.

He acquired a fascination for Asian cultures early in life. When 15 he converted to Buddhism. While in Sri Lanka for 15 years he studied the ayurvedic system of medicine specializing in the treatment for mental diseases.

He studied acupuncture at a time, when very few in the West had any knowledge on it.

In studying and practicing acupuncture he often experienced that traditional formulas for the treatment of diseases gave some relieve, but rarely cured. Obsessed to understand why, he researched the fundamental principles of acupuncture and discovered how to apply them in order to cure.

Acupuncture initiated him into the Taoist Cosmology on which Feng Shui is based.

He says: understanding the energies of nature, which govern our fate and well-being is his passion in life.
