About the author (2002)

John Farrow is the pseudonym for a distinguished Canadian author of literary fiction who lives near Montreal. Farrow grew up on the city's rough streets, in an immigrant neighbourhood. He left school early, and his work to support himself as a young writer included being waiter in a Mafia-run bar, and for several years driving a taxi by night, which contributed to his particular appreciation of Montreal life. His first novel as John Farrow, City of Ice, is available as an Arrow paperback.
