     Kidtracts: The Constitution and Bill of Rights is designed to acquaint young citizens with the lives of mean who wrote the US Constitution.  The activities are based on high order thinking skills. Students research one of the delegates, write a report about him, cooperate in writing a play about the Constitution, create a puppet to represent the delegates, video tape the play to share with other students. The activities will enable students to understand an important part of American history. Recommended for grades 4 and up.

About the author (2005)

Theresa Santano is a freelance writer who taught and supervised elementary school students.  She has also taught college level courses on methodology of teaching, especially in the area of Social studies.

Theresa received her B.A. from Hunter College, M.S. in education from Brooklyn College, Advanced Certificate in Administration and Supervision from Brooklyn College, and Ed.D in Instructional leadership from St. John’s University in New York.

     Theresa is the author of several books for elementary age students.  She has won numerous awards in the area of Social Studies.
