Lucae Tudensis De altera vita

Front Cover
Lucas, bishop of Tuy from 1239 until 1249, is chiefly known as the author of the Chronicon mundi, his great contribution to medieval history. But he also wrote De miraculis sancti Isidori, a work of hagiography, and in the decade of 1230-1240 while still a deacon, an antiheretical treatise, De altera uita. De altera uita was first published by Mariana in 1612 as De altera uita fideique controuersiis aduersus Albigensium errores libri III: the only edition of the work until now. The author of this new edition, Dr. Falque, was also responsible for the critical edition of the Chronicon mundi published by Corpus Christianorum in 2003 (CC CM, 74).
