About the author (1992)

After apprenticeships with photographers at world-renowned Magnum Photos, WILLIAM HUBBELL began full-time work as an independent, shooting primarily for corporate and advertising accounts. Soon afterward, he began traveling abroad and took photographs for such magazines as National Geographic, Time, and Life. Bill continues to travel and take photographs for clients worldwide. He lives in Cumberland Foreside, Maine. Hubbell is a literacy specialist and has taught in elementary schools.
