About the author (2003)

Alessia Armstrong Westry was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, one of six children. She is an officer and former enlisted member of the United States military, with over 21 years of service. Westry holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and a Master's Degree in Public Administration. She currently lives in Hawaii with her husband and son.
