Page 12 - This provision shall not apply to drugs dispensed to patients of institutions operated by the Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services, and the hospital at the University of Virginia and to patients of local health departments.

In the case of a child death for which an autopsy is performed and the autopsy indicates child abuse or neglect contributed to the cause of the death, or the child suffered from abuse and neglect, the medical examiner conducting the autopsy shall report the case immediately to the child protective services unit of the local Department of Social Services.
