"Donald Wetzel's fabulous talent is his power to remember everything even as he tells us he suspects his memory is gone; His masquerading as an old man in this freewheeling book recalls for me the sights and sounds of youth. He commands the absolute precision of the world's keenest social observer who happens also to be the world's keenest humorist". -- Mark Harris

Review: As I Walked Out One Evening

User Review  - Naomi - Goodreads

I'm probably biased, as this is my father's novel, but I think this is still one of the most humorous, touching novels I've read in a long time. I re-read it recently and once again found myself laughing out loud. Not many novels allow me to do that. Read full review
