I found the chapters on Early Irish History more interesting, also, because of the individual contributions and writing styles the flow of the book was somewhat lacking, but then what did I expect from a Collection of essays? Read full review

The late T.W. Moody (1907 - 1984) was, for many years, professor of modern history at Trinity College, Dublin. F.X. Martin (1923 - 2000) was Emeritus Professor of Medieval History, University College, Dublin.
