Unfortunately I Am America (And So Can You!) suffers from a ton of flaws and less-than-funny low-points. And the high points that appear in the book certainly don't pay for them. Look for Stephen's sequel book, America Again instead. Read full review

Well, even though I went against the natural order of things, and I am not a Hero (because I didn't buy the book), I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. Colbert's ideas on everything from getting into an ... Read full review

Has some pretty funny parts, and is a pretty enjoyable read. Could have been better though. A lot of Colbert's humor is added to by his facial expressions, body language, and timing, and there is few ways to carry that over into a book. Read full review

I guess I'm not american enough. Or I've met too many people who wouldn't even realise this is satire. I'll continue being a fan of Stephen Colbert on TV, and I did get a giggle or two out of the book, but I couldn't finish it. Read full review

User Review - Flag as inappropriate

This is the funniest and the most interesting book I've ever read in my life; i would say it's just creatively hilarious. It does not have much to learn, but rather, the way that every single paragraph is written have much humor and professionally-made jokes which one cannot stop laughing at. There are some things in the book that are considered quite offensive and inappropriate, for example, Colbert didn't give any respects to the elderly and immigrants, as well as education, which is just as important because it affects nation's future. Therefore, conclusively this book is very enjoyable but which content shouldn't be taken seriously.

Things I learned from listening to this audiobook: - Dos/Don'ts for defrosting Stephen Colbert's cryogenically frozen head. - Why ice hockey is training for the eventual war with glaciers - Red means ... Read full review
