As intended, this book is a classic for a quick summary of the Pacific world view. I see Chapter 15 as writing as the work that does not need to be repeated by any scholar. It's an essential book of knowledge that opens the window to the comprehensive, Pacific world view. My work to include the Pacific maritime routes in 8th grade US 19th Century will recognize this masterpiece as a source in creating the classroom units.
