I had fond memories of reading this as a child, a mystery book that wasn't actually scary was right up my alley. However, times change and wow does this contain some pretty weird/racist bits about Native Americans. Read full review

Peggy Parish wrote many popular books for children, several featuring her most famous character, Amelia Bedelia, who first appeared in 1963. Peggy Parish died in November 1988.
