About the author (1996)

Philip Dodd is a writer and publisher specializing in international and popular culture. He is the author of "Art of Travel" and a contributor to" Images of France," "Images of Spain," and the Virgin City Guides series. Ben Donald is a freelance travel writer whose journalism has appeared in "The London Times" and consumer travel magazines. He is the author of "Footprint Bologna" and "Footprint Turin,"

Christie taught in art schools before working for the British Film Institute in programming, distribution and special projects. He established the Institute's video publishing arm and co-curated a number of exhibitions. He is currently Anniversary Professor of Film and Media History at Birkbeck College, University of London.
