This book is very short (191 pages) but it is good. Mike Schmidt has always been one of my favorite ballplayers of all time, so I had to get it. He later wrote a book about the decline of the game that was equally good. A good read for any Mike Schmidt fans. Read full review

Mike Schmidt is the greatest-hitting third baseman in the history of baseball. Named Player of the Decade for the 1980s by the Sporting News, he was selected to the MLB All-Century Team in 1999. He lives in Florida with his family.
