Hmmmm "useful"
The first edition of this book came out in the mid 50s, the second edition in about 1960 and sold about 300,000 copies before the boomers hit college. And, there were third and
fourth editions before Professor Voeks passed away. This book had a huge impact on freshman in the late 50s, 60s and through the 70s. It is still relevant, being an educated person is way more than knowing facts, reading books, and making a great deal of money. It is about living well, contributing to the overall welfare of our civilization, and helping others to realize their dreams. Voeks' "little book" (her words) is more than useful, it was my touchstone, along with her friendship, for close to 20 years.
Rant over and Thank You !
