Beau Geste is the adventure novel that brought the French Foreign Legion to the popular imagination. The story follows Michael "Beau" Geste and two brothers as they are accused of a crime and must escape to French North Africa and join the Legion. Many of the earliest books, particularly those dating back to the 1900s and before, are now extremely scarce and increasingly expensive. We are republishing these classic works in affordable, high quality, modern editions, using the original text and artwork.

Review: Beau Geste (Beau Geste)

Decided to re-read this after loving it, oh, 35 years ago? I was surprised to find that I remembered the plot quite well! Probably in my high school enthusiasm, I would have given it 5 stars - it didn't thrill me quite so much this time around but it's still a good yarn. Read full review

Excellent adventures books. If you discount the racist and imperialist biases, that are part of Wren's era, they are full of values and provide standards and examples fantastic for young boys. Did it for me, but it was a long while ago. Maybe no young person would be interested now. Who knows? Read full review
