About the author (1997)

Desmond Walls Allen is an acclaimed genealogist who has taught and spoke at genealogical workshops and seminars throughout the nation, including National Genealogical Society (NGS) and Federation of Genealogical Societies (FGS). She has served as a trustee of the Association of Professional Genealogists. Allen is the owner of Arkansas Research, a publishing company specializing in Arkansas records.
