Story begins in World War II Italy. Main character Angelo Manoferro (in Italian "Iron Hand"). He's a knife maker, fights Nazis and family killed in retaliation. He comes to America and starts another family, in the fun times of the fifties for kids, but he encounters the mafia. He and his relatives swear to a code of honor and secrecy. As the children grow, tow of them go to Vietnam. One becomes a prisoner of war. He describes his experiences as P.O.W as loads of action as well as touching scenes. His warning-contains explicit language, sex and violence
