THE ELEMENTS OF STYLE: 50th Anniversary Edition

Editorial Review - Kirkus - Jane Doe

Privately published by Strunk of Cornell in 1918 and revised by his student E. B. White in 1959, that "little book" is back again with more White updatings. Stricter than, say, Bergen Evans or W3 ("disinterested" means impartial period), Strunk is in the last analysis (whoops "A bankrupt expression") a unique guide (which means "without like or equal"). 2012-12-13 读过 For the most of part, this book is classical one, however, I am really not a fan of this publish house, I always got confuse by all those typefaces it used. It doesn't make any sense to me.

A classic. Crisp, direct explanations of good writing, especially for journalists, but also useful for business writing. Read full review

Unbelievably concise. A little dull at times but an amazing manual in grammar and diction for would-be writers. Read full review
