About the author (2000)

William S. Appleton, M.D. is a psychiatrist who has been in private practice for forty years. He is the author of several books on psychiatric drugs written for professionals as well as general readers. He is a member of the staff at the Massachusetts Mental Health Center, a Harvard teaching hospital.
