So this book is completely and utterly amazing. I have used it for every assignment over the course of my degree. It was not a required textbook, but once I found it in the library I didn't want to let it go. However, soon the word spread about the amazingness of this book, and other students started getting snarky, as I continually extended my loan, and then openly gloated about how I found this brilliant book that is useful for everything. Rather than getting lynched by the rest of my cohort, I saved up my pennies and bought it, and returned the loaner copy to the library. I think it's pretty safe to say that without this book, I would be lost. I love you, Shipley & McAfee.

This was a required textbook and I have LOVED it. It is full of good information but on top of that the design is streamlined and straightforward. It is well organized and FULL of incredibly useful charts, questionnaires, lists, tables. This is hands-down the most broadly useful textbook I have bought. I am still in grad school and internships and I use it regularly even though the class was a year or more ago, and I will definitely be using materials out of it when I am working in the field next year. I highly recommend it and if you don't feel like you have a good assessment book, get this one! The only drawback is that I didn't think the content of the disc was super helpful. I would read the manufacturer's specs just to be sure you want it before spending extra on one that includes it.
