About the author (1994)

Frank Blackaby was Deputy Director of the National Institute for Economic and Social Research, London and Director of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute.
Tom Milne is Researcher at Pugwash Conferences on Science and World Affairs, London.

Phil Hardy has edited many reference books on popular cinema. He is also an authority on popular music and is co-editor of "The Faber Companion to 20th Century Popular Music".
