I didn't realize I liked sci-fi very much before reading this book. I learned about it by reading an interview with Ray Bradbury in The Paris Review. The interview was incredible and the next day I randomly came across this book in a bookstore. It's one of my favorites now. The stories are brilliant and the prose is visual and engaging and not excessively decorated. I like the fact that all the stories aren't directly related to one another. Overall, love the book. Very fun for one's mind.

It's not really even science fiction. This book caught me by surprise. It has images that linger and you don't want to forget. I will read this one many more times.

Ray Bradbury is a well know science-fiction author. "The Martian Chronicles" is
one of his beloved books. This book is made up of many mind boggling, critical
thinking, and intriguing
stories that unify under one theme. "The Martian Chronicle's"
theme is about the downfall of people that come to a different land and try to claim it
their own by eliminating people before them.
"The Martian Chronicles" is about people from Earth flying to the planet Mars.
On Mars humans begin to adapt to the new environment and start building a new
civilization based on the human race. But as the humans settle in, outbursts of weird
events start of arise in the outskirts of towns. Many say that it is the incidents are
because of the martians that used to live on Mars, but became extinct.
In this case, the author's writing style is very appealing to the mind. I love how all of the
short stories carry different genres of suspense, humor, and psychological thinking.
There wasn't much that I didn't dislike."The Martian Chronicles" is the best science-fiction
book I've ever read.
I recommend this book to anyone who is smart and can read at an 8th grade level.

This book's theme is outdated and did not age well with time.
