No More Excuses! is about helping people (particularly women) change their lives. It is also an inspirational, motivational, health and fitness guide. Tawni includes her personal story of lifelong struggle with weight and how she made a monumental change to lose the weight and renew her life. She also includes accounts of the many women with whom Tawni's connected on the Internet and in person and has encouraged each day to make a change in their lives. In addition to the inspirational and motivational stories throughout, Tawni includes a detailed account of her own fitness regimen and a prescription for a healthier diet.

Tawni Gomes was born and raised in Southern California. (Ventura County), and now lives in the San Francisco/Bay area. After struggling with her weight for most of her life, Tawni has lost 100 pounds since September of 1996, after first reading "Make the Connection", by Bob Greene and Oprah Winfrey. A frequent traveller, Tawni has developed a uniquely creative way to "make the connection" on the road -- an on-line support group for others like her. ConnectingConnectors.com has helped Tawni and many other women take control of their serious weight issues and the health and emotional problems that come along with being overweight. In addition to losing over 100 pounds, Tawni has also completed two marathons (that's 26 miles and 385 yards).
