A gruesome murder has been committed. Boston Homicide Detective Joe Gagnon, called to the crime scene, is reunited with his old girlfriend, television journalist Patty Preston, who is on assignment. Now the two find themselves involved, both personally and professionally. After catching the assumed criminal, Joe rests easy, until a second, more disturbing murder is committed. Joe uncovers a common thread in these murders and suddenly finds that he may be in over his head. This fast-paced murder mystery takes the reader through many twists and turns. The plot goes much deeper than a crazed, psychotic killer, and the ultimate outcome will shock and surprise. This story is not for the faint-of-heart.
