About the author (2011)

Melanie Rawn was born in California, and graduated from Scripps College with a BA in history. She has worked as a teacher and as an editor, before she wrote her bestselling “Dragon Prince” trilogy. Those books were followed by a second trilogy, “The Dragon Star”, which has also sold hundreds of thousands of copies. Melanie took a break from writing from 1995 to 2005, due to family obligations. After the death of her mother she began to write again, and Spellbinder is the result.
