I picked this up to get a bit more up to speed on contemporary continental humanism. Exceptionally dense with small font, but the breadth and depth of this overview is pretty staggering. A much better quick reference than read-through. Read full review

About the author (2002)

John Lechte, a former student of Julia Kristeva, teaches social theory at Macquarie University, Australia. He has taught and published widely on many aspects of modern thought and culture.
