About the author (1992)

Helen Maxwell, a premier law enforcement journalist, was also an administrator of a college accredited law enforcement program. Her articles have appeared in many newspapers and magazines including "inside" police magazines such as Chief of Police and Police.

Michael Maxwell is a Certified Protection Professional of which there are fewer than seven hundred worldwide. He is currently a law enforcement executive and is a former Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff.
