Timothy R. Gaffney is the author of "Grandpa Take Me to the Moon" and other books. He is also the aviation journalist for the "Dayton Daily News" in Ohio and a private pilot. He lives in Miamisburg, Ohio.
Bernadette Pons is the illustrator of numerous books for children, including "Mouse Cleaning" and "The Feathered Crown," She lives with her family in Paris, France.

Barry Root is the illustrator of many books for children, including "Gumbrella, " which he also wrote; "By My Brother's Side"; and "Game Day", which received a Christopher Award in the category of books for young people. He lives with his family in Quarryville, Pennsylvania.
