To some, Arizona was a badman; he was quick with a six-gun; to be sure there were many notches in the Colt he threw with such lightning rapidity; but there was a story behind all that. When old Cappy Tanner appears, driving his burros up the trail to Mescal Ridge to see his old friends on the Ames ranch, things begin to happen every minute from then on until at last Rich Ames finds peace and love.

I liked the book but it was not the most intriguing. Read full review

The author presents page after page of amazing and wonderful descriptions of the landscape, people and attitudes of the Old West. Nicely written by a good wordsmith. Stories are engrossing and hold ones attention. I will read more. Recommended Read full review
