The story begins moments after Book 1 of the Outcasts Series. The relationship between Marina and Jax deepens. Is there romance brewing between the two scouts? (I hope so.)
The story literally picks up speed with the appearance of strange, giant birds called G'unk-g'unks that the Outcasts can ride through a maze of dangers.
The villain of the piece, CH'NOPS, is like nothing I've ever read. It's not some obvious character but an amorphous mastermind pulling strings, creating, destroying. Amazing.
The Outcasts meet a strange couple in an even stranger place called the Font of Knowledge. It's not your ordinary, stale, stuffy museum but a structure with riddles, hidden passages and dark secrets.
Let's not forget the Shadow Beasts and evil Antibodies, who stage a staggering appearance at the climax of the story. The Outcasts do battle in a unique way -- not with weapons but with ingenuity.
All I can say is, I'm ready to go on Book 3...no matter how late I stay up. When is the movie coming out?
