This volume features the texts of eight translations of the New Testament which are highly regarded in the evangelical community today. With the exception of the classic King James Version, all of these translations have been published in recent years by groups with a strong evangelical outlook. The Contemporary Parallel New Testament provides readers with a valuable reference tool which makes it easy to compare these texts at a glance. This enables one to understand how certain terms or phrases have been translated by scholars in a variety of ways. Therefore, this resource will help make the New Testament accessible to readers new to its text. The fact that this edition is the first to feature both the New International Version and the New King James Version makes it especially noteworthy.
