Gary A. Polis was a professor in and chair of the Department of Environmental Sciences and Policy at the University of California, Davis, at the time of his death in 2000.
Mary E. Power is a professor of integrative biology at the University of California, Berkeley.
Gary R. Huxel is an assistant professor of biology at the University of South Florida.
