Dr. Lynda Madison is a licensed psychologist and Director of Family Support and Psychological Services at Children's Hospital, Omaha, and is an Associate Professor in the departments of Pediatrics and Psychiatry at Creighton University Medical School. She is the author of American Girl Library's The Feelings Book, and one of the contributing authors of Pleasant Company's parenting book, What I Wish You Knew: Letters from our Daughter's Lives, and Expert Advice on Staying Connected (Pleasant Company, 2001). She is also the author of Parenting with Purpose (Andrews McMeel, 1998) and Keep Talking: A Mother-Daughter Guide to the Preteen years (Andrews McMeel, 1999). Dr. Madison has provided child and family therapy for over 20 years. She is a nationally recognized speaker on the topics of family relationships and adolescent girls. She particularly enjoys providing entertaining, interactive workshops for mothers and daughters. She has appeared on the Today Show, Great Day America, Lifestyle Magazine, and MSNBC, and consults on a variety of parenting topics for ABC.com. She and her husband live in Omaha, Nebraska with their two daughters.
