User Review - Flag as inappropriate

My dad purchased this book for me to read when I was 16 year old. We were on a 2 week camping trip from Georgia to the west cost. It held my interest 56 years ago and sparked a life long interest in science. I don't think it was written as a collage text book. I think it was written to be easily understood by the layman.
