About the author (2003)

Cornwallis was born and raised in Edinburgh and settled in Glasgow. He studied astronomy at Glasgow University. He enjoys hiking, climbing and travelling.

Harding was born in Melbourne, Australia. He spent three years backpacking in Europe and Southeast Asia. In 1996 he joined Lonely Planet as an editor and now works full time as a writer.
