About the author (2002)

Erickson was educated at St. John's College, Cambridge and served in British Army intelligence. He is Professor and Director of the Centre for Defence at the University of Edinburgh.

Ljubica Erickson is the co-author of "The Soviet Armed Forces 1918-1992: A Research Guide to Soviet Sources".
