A surprising favourite from my reading this term. Catullus is not a poet who is filled with airs and graces but rather a young man who speaks from his mind and heart. This leads to both beautiful and succinct poems on the one hand and bawdy obscenity on the other. It was a lot of fun to read. Read full review
