About the author (1783)

Susan Thames Black, writing under the pen name: "Susanna Lee", was born on May 27th. 1931 in Dunn N.C. where she grew up and married her husband, she had three children and was employed by the "Dunn Daily Record" as a cartoonist then, after her husband started a new career with A.A.F.E.S. she, with her family were transferred overseas to Japan where, she sang part time on the armed services radio.

Later, after having also later been stationed in Hawaii with her husband, she, and her family, moved to Dallas, TX. where she studied commercial art at "El Centro College" in Dallas TX., later, after her husbands retirement they both moved to the Fayetteville area on North Carolina, where she wrote stories for the newsletter of an organization she volunteered for and also wrote her second book :"MacEwens Vale".
