The author's claim that he is a low caste Tamil from Tuticorin in South India and that he has to put on a Burgher identity to migrate to Australia due to discrimination by the high caste Tamils is an unfounded non-academic rubbish. This whole books is a heap of plain garbage.
Michael Roberts managed to get a PhD from a local university by writing about Sinhala Karawa communities and was never an academic in any University in Sri Lanka. He curried favour with the Sinhalese by writing against the Tamils and finally ended up being called a pariah by the Sinhalese and had to run away from the country.
He wanted to get some fame by writing about leading Tamil academics like the Late Professors A. Jeyaratnam Wilson, Chelvadurai Manoharan, Alagiah Thurairajah, Eliezer, etc.
Michael Roberts is the prime example of an author who does not know what he is writing, the abyss of idiocy.
