This book is fabulous !! For anyone who wants to know more about the early history of Franklin County, this is the book for you. So fascinated as I read what buildings sat where, who was who in the mid 1800s and the names of so many early settlers. When I saw some of those names, I saw street names in The Bottoms that sprung to life, as so many were named after early settlers (and I did always wonder where some of those names came from as I worked on my family tree with my mom and grandmother who lived in The Bottoms when they moved to Columbus from WV in 1927) I HIGHLY recommend this book to others.... I give William Martin Ten Stars !!
