There but for fortune: the life of Phil Ochs
The definitive account of famed folksinger and political activist Phil Ochs. Twenty years ago, after a long block with writer's block and manic depression, Phil Ochs took his own life. His music had been a spark firing '60s political idealism, and his death signaled the end of an era. Published to coincide with a national tour commemorating the 20th anniversary of his death, this is both an indepth biography and a significant musical history.
