i had pituitary cushing's disease for 18 years! this is unheard of! no one survives this long with this hodeous disease! no one. my first endo m.d. made fun of me. ran every test in the book. never told me my lab results. never gave me copies. nothing. discharged me as a patient the next month. i went to my university library, and got dr. robert hardin williams' "textbook of endocrinology, 7th. ed.". i read the entire book. i could not put it down! i told my wife "..i've got cushing's disease.."! now, 18 years later, and, 2 pituitary surgeries later, i have no pituitary gland at all! it took them all awhile to catch up with me, but, they finally did. i had dr. williams' "textbook" to keep me going. a masterpiece! get this book!
