This book is very good for someone who learns languages rather slowly and needs every little step expounded several times. It seems as though it might be the case that Mansoor was a little absent in the writing of this book. Although these artifacts might be purposeful, several words appear multiple times in the vocabulary list and some words don't show up at all. You have to be careful to memorize the words as they show up in the chapters. Also, he doesn't explain some elements, I think. For instance, Maqqef is never mentioned (I think) in the book, let alone its function, when to use it, et cetera. The reader is left to figure it out from another text or from careful observation while he notes several times that 'iyr is feminine (even during the assignment!). Also, the index is not NEARLY extensive enough. The vocabulary lists are good and rather extensive, and the grammar is learned quite slowly, one little piece at a time. (I'm on chapter 19, self-study). All-in-all, one of the better options for teach yourself Hebrew.
