Having just read Out, I was excited to pick up Grotesque. I can't say I enjoyed it. Perhaps it is not meant to be enjoyed? I found it technically impressive, but it left me feeling soiled and unhappy. I would only recommend it to someone who needs to feel bad for a week or so. Read full review
